COLLABORATIONS AND EXHIBITIONS
As a recent Graduate my experience within the industry is fairly limited, however, I have taken part in a range of Collaborations and Exhibitions.
The first of which was University of Derby's Degree Show Exhibition. Taking place between the 2nd and 13th of June, the show aimed to showcase the final collections and pieces of students from the College of Arts. All graduates take part in the exhibition, however I was lucky enough to have my work selected to become part of the branding and promotional media for the show!

The 27th to the 30th of June saw the annual New Designers exhibition at the Business Design Centre in London, and I was privileged enough to have been selected by the University to exhibit there. It was a great opportunity for me to exhibit my graduate collection, and it was fab to connect with other designers who would be soon entering the design world. Social media played in big part for me throughout my degree, and aloud me to connect, communicate and inspire or be inspired by other undergrads. New designers gave me the opportunity to not only be approached by and communicate with people within the world of design, but also meet other Graduate designers, and finally see their work in the flesh!
On the 7th of September, I was privileged enough to take part in Craftspace's In:Site interactive exhibition, in Cathedral Square, Birmingham. The exhibition gave me the chance to work with the public, to create pieces of Textile art, using the Lacing and Placing techniques I developed throughout my degree. I also offered the public the opportunity to create their own earrings, using the uniquely laser cut embellishments. This was far more popular than I had initially expected, with over 20 pairs being made throughout the day! 6 A3 textiles art pieces were also created by the public, opening my eyes to different ways peoples perceive design!
